Abstract: Aim/Background: Cancer is still known to be a devastating disease condition. Even after getting advancements in multimodality therapies, the success rate with respect patient survival very limited. Hence there an emerging need find alternative medication strategies for cancer treatment. Recently seaweeds are their significance due its tremendous medicinal properties. Among different category of seaweeds, Padina gymnospora which brown seaweed possess many important bioactivities including antimicrobial activity, anti-oxidative property and anti-inflammatory. Role this treating oral cells not much explored detail. Hence, study aims understand cell line – SAS. Materials Methods: The ethanol extract was treated SAS incubated 24 hr. After incubation, MTT assay performed efficiency extract. Further were taken protein extraction subjected SDS PAGE, two-dimensional electrophoresis (2D) coupled tandem mass spectrometry approach. differentially expressed proteins further identified bioinformatic analysis. Results Conclusion: It observed that pro apoptotic BIK, BAK1, BID, BAD CASP8 highly upregulated samples compared untreated control samples.
